Kirsten Ludwig

Calgary-born, Victoria-based singer-songwriter Kirsten Ludwig is finally set to release her second album Honest Tracks, and while there's still a week to go until its official arrival, Exclaim! has got the premiere of the new LP right here.

Moving forward from 2014's Drifting, a press release notes that Honest Tracks demonstrates a determination within Ludwig to establish herself not only as a songwriter but a producer, having recorded and mixed two of the tracks independently. Musically, her haunting compositions for voice and piano are vastly strengthened by the inclusion of vibraphone, spoken word and tasteful use of effects.

Honest Tracks is set to arrive on March 15, but you can hear the record in its entirety right now in the player below.
