Lamar, the Weeknd and Mars will be joined by Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Lorde to duke it out for the title of Artist of the Year, while Best New Artist noms are sure to further boost the profiles of nominees Khalid, Kodak Black, SZA, Young M.A., Julia Michaels and Noah Cyrus.

In the genre-specific categories, Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Twenty One Pilots, Green Day and Foo Fighters are up for Best Rock Video, while Lamar, Big Sean, Chance the Rapper, D.R.A.M., Migos and DJ Khaled are up for Best Hip Hop Video.
