After sharing their Homeless 7-inch before the end of last year, Julie & the Wrong Guys have lifted the curtain on their debut album.
The group, which features Julie Doiron, Eamon McGrath, and Cancer Bats members Mike Peters and Jaye Schwarzer, will release the self-titled LP September 8 through Dine Alone Records. Ahead of the record's arrival, the band have shared single "You Wanted What I Wanted," which you can hear in the player below.
As Schwarzer puts it, "This was the track where we realized that we could be a powerful band. We all had a hand in coming up with the lyrics to this song together. It was a unified vision we had of people who have come in and out of our lives who had grown jealous or had tried to put restraints on us. It comes from years of frustration and signifies the all too familiar trip of starting out on the journey again."
Doiron and the band have also mapped out a Canadian tour behind the disc, which features dates in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia throughout September and October. You can find the complete itinerary below.
Tour dates:
09/07 Toronto, ON - The Horseshoe*
