Ahead of her Sunday performance at this year's freewheeling, COVID precaution-less Coachella, Toronto's Jessie Reyez has shared a rather large-scale update on her new album.

The news is that it's still very much under construction, which maybe isn't huge, but she imparted it in a big way: on a Billboard — an unmistakable, literal sign.

Pigeons & Planes shared a photo of Reyez's placard among a collection of Coachella billboards that hat been spotted in the desert. The date of the artist's performance and name of the stage she'll be performing at (Mojave) are included, alongside a parenthetical that appears across her image: "(No the album isn't done yet)."

The album in question would presumably be the highly anticipated follow-up to the singer-songwriter's acclaimed debut LP, 2020's Before Love Came to Kill Us. We'll just have to keeping waiting for it.

Check out the gallery of some of the Coachella billboards, including Reyez's, below.

Reyez will perform alongside a slew of fellow Canadians, including surprise guests Arcade Fire, the Weeknd and Carly Rae Jepsen, who's also been dabbling in billboards as of late.
