BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 17, 2016

Amateur ivory ticklers and professional pianists alike should want to play along to Jean-Michel Blais's debut album Il, and now the Montreal musician is giving you a chance to do just that.

This summer, he'll release the record's sheet music. The book will arrive digitally on July 15, followed by physical copies to be shipped on July 27. It will contain the sheet music for each of the 10 original compositions the featured on Il, and copies can be pre-ordered here.

For those who want to leave the musical heavy lifting to Blais himself, the performer will grace the stage at a number of shows over the next few months. Find full details for his shows in British Columbia, Ontario and his home province of Quebec down below, which includes an Exclaim!-presented stop at the Great Hall in Toronto on November 19.

Earlier this week, Blais also performed at the announcement of the Polaris Music Prize long list in Whitehorse, where it was revealed that Il is among the 40 albums in the running for the prestigious prize.
