Janet Jackson's Lifetime and A&E documentary Janet will see its premiere later this month, and today, the two-part special is being previewed with a new trailer.
Said to cover the musician's 40-year career, spanning everything from discussions of late brother Michael Jackson to the infamous 2004 wardrobe malfunction, the doc will feature never-before-seen footage of the singer's humble beginnings, career, relationships and legacy.
The doc will feature interviews and segments with Missy Elliott, Whoopi Goldberg, Mariah Carey, Q-Tip, Janelle Monae, Teyana Taylor, Tyler Perry and Samuel L. Jackson. The four-hour special was directed by Ben Hirsch and executive produced by Jackson and her brother Randy Jackson.

Janet follows the 2021 release of FX and Hulu's New York Times Presents documentary, Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson, which focused on Justin Timberlake and Jackson's Super Bowl performance and the fallout from the latter's wardrobe malfunction.
