James Blake's 1-800 DINOSAUR Crew Announces Collaborative LP with Trim

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 20, 2016

The James Blake-affiliated 1-800 DINOSAUR brings together a collective of fellow artists and producers, and they've just revealed plans for a new collaborative album.

Dubbed 1-800 DINOSAUR Presents Trim, the record is set to arrive on July 29. As the title implies, the set of songs prominently features UK grime MC Trim.

Trim's rhymes are matched with production from Blake on the previously shared "RPG," while Airhead takes the reins on "Stretch," "Man Like Me" and "Waco." There are also contributions from Happa, Bullion, Boothroyd, Dan Foat and Klaus.

In addition to the aforementioned cut "RPG," you can now hear the Airhead-produced "Man Like Me" as well. The beat begins sparse, allowing Trim's rapid-fire delivery to overpower the track, though it swells with bursts of punctuated percussion and digitized sounds at methodically planned points.
