Only a magnificent musical beast like Horse the Band could get away with writing and recording an EP entirely of songs about pizza. That the final track is a cover of the theme from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles only seals the deal. Playing an entirely unique form of hardcore that prominently features cheesy keyboard leads, the band coined the term "Nintendocore to describe their manic aural attack, and it fits perfectly. The band will smash into the party with a track like opener "Anti-Pizza, crashing in with grinding blast beats before breaking down into the kind of half-time stomp that makes kids dance like idiots. The howled vocals are usually clear enough to discern the mindlessly fun lyrics which are, indeed, all about pizza, while the synth leads are as catchy here as on any of the bands full-length material, if not stronger.
