Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Majid Jordan, the Beaches, iskwē, Bahamas

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Sep 15, 2023

If pointing out that we're halfway through September doesn't make you feel like you're living on a prayer, we're not sure what will. Unfortunately, Jon Bon Jovi was correct — we're halfway there, folks. Thankfully, we have the week's best new Canadian music to offer solace in the truly gruesome passing of time that keeps happening.

Majid Jordan are back with their first new music of 2023, joining forces with OVO labelmate Naomi Sharon on "Waiting for You," while iskwē reflects on "The End of It All" for a new beginning.

It's a huge week for album releases. The highlights include the Beaches finding their people with Blame My Ex, and Haley Blais landing her punchlines on Wisecrack, as well as new LPs from the Barenaked Ladies (In Flight), Danko Jones (Electric Sounds), Bahamas and Nas.

Elsewhere, NOBRO are wondering "Where My Girls At" on the lead single from their newly announced debut album, Kirsten Ludwig returns, and Begonia gets remixed by Sun Sun.

There's all that and plenty more to discover with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
