Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Jeremy Dutcher, DijahSB, the Rural Alberta Advantage, MINOE

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Oct 6, 2023

It's a big day for Drake fans and their four-legged friends, since For All the Dogs did actually arrive on streaming services overnight after "8AM in Charlotte" dropped exclusively on social media yesterday. If you're not barking up that tree, there are plenty more new Canadian releases to lap up today — from DijahSB asking questions like Nardwuar on "How R U" to MINOE embracing a Barbie lifestyle on her debut EP, Bleeding Heart's Disco.

Speaking of new collections, there are lots of full-length albums out today (that, for the record, aren't 23 tracks long like Drake's). The big story is obviously brand spankin'-new Exclaim! cover star Jeremy Dutcher's sophomore LP, as well as new records from Rural Alberta Advantage (The Rise & the Fall), Population II (Électrons libre du québec), Tired Cossack (I Know, I Guess), Good Lovelies and Lowest of the Low.

Elsewhere, the Strumbellas are back, and Mac DeMarco finally collaborated with Ryan Paris (spoiler alert: it's simply paradise). If you want the funk super-bad like Seth RogenBusty and the Bass and Chromeo also announced new albums led by strong singles.

Get your tail wagging for the weekend with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
