Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Bria, DijahSB, City and Colour, the Dirty Nil

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Nov 18, 2022

For better or worse, it might be the end of Twitter. We'll just have to wait and see! In the meantime, here's how Canadian artists are meeting the potentially soon tweet-free moment in music.

Bria ask "Where Have All the [Twitter] Cowboys Gone?" with a Paula Cole cover and DijahSB previews Living Simple (sans Twitter), while Andy Shauf leads probable reply-guy Norm and Bodywash are feeling "Kind of Light" without tweeting. In other eulogies, City and Colour honours a late friend with "Meant to Be" and the Dirty Nil pay tribute to a convenience store.

This week in album releases, we have the latest from Neil Young & Crazy Horse (World Record), Badge Époque Ensemble & Lammping (Clouds of Joy: Chance of Reign) and Nickelback, obviously.

On other timelines, Busty and the Bass reflect on "All the Things I Couldn't Say to You [on Twitter]" ahead of their Toronto and Montreal residencies, while Arkells are "Floating Like" Motown now that they've logged off. We also have new music from a handful of Exclaim! New Faves alumni, including Kylie V, notfortheo and Thierry Larose.

Mourn and celebrate the downfall of a social media staple in equal measure with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
