TIFF season is officially upon us — and although things look a little different this year amid the writers' and actors' strikes, we here at Exclaim! kicked off the festivities at our annual Definitely Not the Opening Gala last night. And it was a movie!
But truly, doing anything can feel cinematic with the right soundtrack, and this week's best new Canadian music is here to foot that bill, including new tracks from Metric and Terra Lightfoot, as well as OMBIIGIZI covering Buffy Sainte-Marie's "Eagle Man/Changing Woman."
This week in album releases, we have the highly anticipated new LP from our summer 2023 cover star Allison Russell, as well as the return of Karkwa (Dans la seconde) and Super Duty Tough Work.
