Prepare the Ground organizers have announced that the brand-new heavy music festival is ready to scream into Toronto for its inaugural edition from May 31 to June 2.

UPDATE (12/05, 10:38 a.m. ET): Organizers have revealed that American hardcore outfit Orchid, who split up in 2002, will treat Prepare the Ground to an exclusive headlining reunion show. They've also announced that a second batch of weekend passes will go on sale December 12 after the first sold out.

The fest presented by DICE will call multiple venues home across its three-day run, with the Phoenix Concert Theatre, Lee's Palace, the Garrison, Baby G and Bar Orwell all hosting performances from a lineup of over 60 artists.

While only 16 performers have been announced thus far, the group covers a diverse array of heavy sub-genres, including noise rock, doom, sludge, goth rock and more.

Toronto-based punk outfit Burning Love will perform a special reunion set at the fest following their 2015 split. The current lineup is rounded out by 40 Watt Sun, Dreamwell, Emma Ruth Rundle, KEN Mode, Liturgy, Mares of Thrace, Marissa Nadler, Odonis Odonis, Planning for Burial, Ragana, Sunrot, Terminal Nation, Thantifaxath, Uniform and Vile Creature

Early-bird weekend passes are on sale now at DICE's official website. Check out the full lineup and the fest's official poster below.
