Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Daniel Romano's Outfit, Faouzia, Basement Revolver

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Mar 1, 2024

We made it to March! I'm pretty sure I said the same thing about February, but it still feels like an important accomplishment to acknowledge, okay? As the old adage goes, this month comes in like a lion — and the week's best new Canadian music is certainly kicking things off with a roar.

We have the first new music of 2024 from Snotty Nose Rez Kids, who team up with Electric Fields for "Red Future." Meanwhile, Faouzia interpolates none other than Ludwig van Beethoven on "Fur Elise," and Hamilton's Basement Revolver return with their first new single since 2022's Embody.

This week, there are album releases from Daniel Romano's Outfit, Gulfer (Third Wind), David Vertesi, Abby Sage and the Hello Darlins. The likes of Donovan Woods, Bibi Club, Kee Avil and the Denim Daddies have also announced their forthcoming LPs.

Elsewhere, Afternoon Bike Ride are just enjoying "The Ride," while Falcon Jane owns the road. Virginie B embodies the divine feminine with her hyperpop stylings, and Homeshake and Jane Penny continue to preview their upcoming projects with promising singles.

Everything is a mane event with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
