While we've already seen covers of music from The Last of Us Part II, some more musically-inclined players are now covering music in the new PlayStation title itself, using a character's in-game guitar.

Early on in the game, The Last of Us lead character Joel gifts Part II protagonist Ellie with an acoustic guitar and teaches her how to play it. As you can see above, players are then able to access to a chord wheel, which they can use to play specific songs in the game.

Game blog VG247 has shared a video of Ellie playing through songs by some of rock's finest. You can watch her pluck digital strings in covering Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun," Radiohead's "Creep," the White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army," Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here," Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Californiacation" and more.

If The Last of Us Part II eventually makes you want to pick up a six-string yourself, Taylor Guitars have made a pair of instruments specifically for the game's launch.

The Last of Us Part II is out now on PS4, featuring a soundtrack once again helmed by Gustavo Santaolalla. The series' first game, 2013's The Last of Us, is being adapted for a new HBO series, with a pilot helmed by Johan Renck.
