Are you feeling feverish? Toronto's West End Phoenix — a local periodical community newspaper — is hosting its sixth annual fundraiser to support independent journalism, featuring performances of disco classics by the likes of Fucked Up's Damian Abraham, Ron Sexsmith, Charlotte Cornfield and more.

Saturday Night Phoever takes place on September 17 in the courtyard of Planet Storage (1655 Dupont Street), with doors at 6:30 p.m. ET and the show at 7:30. The rest of the performers on deck are Tyler Stewart of Barenaked Ladies, Tom Wilson, Lucas Silveira, Peter Elkas, Regina Gently, Ansley Simpson, Wade O. Brown, Ensign Broderick, Don Kerr, Andrew & Sameer Cash, Dave Wall, Shakura S'Aida, Alison Young and Kevin Bath. See the setlist below.

Launched in 2007, West End Phoenix represents a reimagining of the community newspaper. Helmed by writer, publisher and musician Dave Bidini (of Rheotstatics) — who will be hosting Saturday Night Phoever — WEP has grown into a home-delivered broadsheet with thousands of subscribers.

Some of the country's greatest writers and photographers, young and established, have used the publication as a vehicle to articulate their experiences throughout their neighbourhoods, with 100 percent of WEP subscription and donation money going toward paying staff and contributors.

Tickets for Saturday Night Phoever are on sale now for $88 (plus HST) via the West End Phoenix's website.

As Arctic Monkeys recently put it: "There'd Better Be a Mirrorball."
