Frankie Rose (formerly of Vivian Girls, Dum Dum Girls and Crystal Stilts) has announced her first solo album in six years, led by new single "Anything."

Love as Projection arrives March 10 via Slumberland. It follows 2017's Cage Tropical. That same year, Rose also released a full-album cover of the Cure's 1980 LP, Seventeen Seconds, and went on tour with the Pains of Being Pure at Heart.

"This album is about having to focus our collective energies on the small things around that we can control to find joy," Rose said of the new record in a statement. "A distraction from the the larger systemic problems that feel so overwhelming and are so very out of our collective hands… for now…"

According to press materials, Love as Projection marks the prolific singer-songwriter's most personal and accessible work to date, culminating her decades of influence in "more than a rebirth." First single "Anything" serves as a bubbling reintroduction to Rose's soaring style through weightless '80s synthpop flourishes imbued with a lived-in quality.
