Frank Turner Announces 'Positive Songs for Negative People'

Frank Turner had promised that he had a new album on a way, and he even shared a new single. Now, the British folk-punk songwriter has officially announced his latest full-length.

The album is titled Positive Songs for Negative People. It doesn't yet have a release date, but Turner shared the above image, though he said the "full artwork" would be revealed soon. (The image looks a bit like it should be the art for Mew's new album +-).

On Facebook, Turner said that it is "a record about defiance, about picking yourself up when you're down, and the title reflects that." That description certainly fits the previously released "Get Better," which can be revisited down below.

A couple of months back, Turner told Music-News.com, "The record was recorded in nine days, cut it live basically, I play electric guitar on quite a lot of the new album."

He went through a couple of different producers before finally settling on Butch Walker, a pop specialist who has worked with Weezer, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Fall Out Boy.

Turner will reportedly be announcing some U.S. tour dates imminently. There's no word as to whether there will be any Canadian stops on the trek.
