Foo Fighters will release their new album But Here We Are on June 2, and now the album's dedication has been revealed. The album is dedicated to drummer Taylor Hawkins as well as singer Dave Grohl's late mother, Virginia Hanlon Grohl.

A post by graphic design studio Morning Breath Inc. reveals the full sleeve artwork for But Here We Are, including an inscription on the back cover that reads "For Virginia and Taylor." Check out the post below; the dedication can be seen on the fourth and final slide.

Reports surfaced last year that Grohl's mom Virginia died in July 2022, although the band never made a public announcement, and there doesn't appear to be an obituary online.

Grohl's mom was publicly involved in his career: in 2017, she published a book called From Cradle to Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars, which was turned into a TV show (directed by Dave himself) in 2021. Virginia was a longtime public school teacher.

She died just a few months after Hawkins, who tragically passed in March 2022 at the age of 50.
