All right, Fleet Foxes fans, here's the moment you've been waiting for. The chilled-out Seattle folkies have at long last announced the follow-up to their wildly loved 2008 self-titled debut.
The new album will be dubbed Helplessness Blues and will come out via Sub Pop on May 3.
As the press release explains, the LP was recorded over the course of a year at Avast Recording, Bear Creek Studios, Dreamland Studios and Reciprocal Recording. Lending a hand was indie rock production hero Phil Ek, who mixed and co-produced the record with Fleet Foxes.
Along with the album announcement and cover (see above), Fleet Foxes have shared the record's title track, which you can download via the widget below. Also, if that wasn't enough, the band have announced a North American tour, which kicks off in Vancouver April 30.
So far, no tracklisting for Helplessness Blues has been revealed, but this should all be more than enough to satisfy.
