"Home is where the heart is," the adage goes, and it couldn't be clearer to Kari Faux. Upon leaving the "plastic life" of Los Angeles behind, the Arkansan returned to her native Little Rock for a year while also spending time in Houston, TX, a re-establishment of her roots that in turn fuelled an artistic reinvigoration.
The result, REAL B*TCHES DON'T DIE!, sees Faux channelling power as a Southern rap mage, grounded by wisdom handed down via family and treasured femcees alike in conjuring myriad flows, indelible hooks and wielding wit and heart in equal measure.
