Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer is returning to his Pluralone project for its sophomore effort. Called I Don't Feel Well, the record is set to arrive on October 16 digitally and on CD via Org Music. A vinyl release will follow on December 11.
The record follows Pluralone's debut effort, 2019's To Be One with You, and you can get a taste of what's in store via the newly shared track "The Night Won't Scare Me" — a song that contains a chord progression Klinghoffer wrote for RHCP before his departure from the group in 2019.
"Obviously people won't know where these words are coming from specifically — I don't even know all the time — but this is a perfect combination of words from this past year, maybe year and a half," he told Rolling Stone of the song. "It speaks, albeit abstractly, to many things that have been going on. It also has, to me, a hopeful, yet annoyed sense to it, which I'd say is apt. It's hard not to be remarkably annoyed and irritated these days, yet, for some insane and inexplicable reason… I'm hopeful."

Of the album as a whole, Klinghoffer said in a statement: "This is a wild time. This album was made during and amongst some very new experiences. I hope it captures some of how it felt during this period. I'll feel better when this is behind us."
The vinyl edition of I Don't Feel Well will arrive on black vinyl, as well as limited-edition gold (350 copies).
