Elzhi and Georgia Anne Muldrow have announced a new collaborative album. The Detroit MC and the California polymath will deliver Zhigeist on March 11 via Nature Sounds.
The 11-song Zhigeist, produced entirely by Muldrow, is previewed today by "Strangeland." You can hear Elzhi lace laser-focused flows over his collaborator's punchy drums and piano below.
"Georgia's music is phenomenal," Elzhi shared in a statement. "Her natural aptitude is limitless when it comes to production and vocals. I wanted to translate what her music was communicating to me."
Last year, Muldrow released VWETO III, the third instalment in her series of instrumental releases. She also worked with Montreal's Moonshine Collective, and contributed to a Brittany Howard remix album.
In 2020, Muldrow released Mama, You Can Bet! as Jyoti, while Elzhi shared third solo LP Seven Times Down Eight Times Up.
