Dum Dum Girls Cancel Upcoming Shows, Including Dates in Toronto and Montreal

It's been almost seven months since debut album I Will Be came out and California fuzz pop outfit Dum Dum Girls are still hard at work promoting it. Their current tour plans have been derailed, however, as family issues have forced the band to cancel all upcoming shows.

The group were in the midst of a run of shows opening for the Vaselines, having just recently played in Vancouver on Saturday (October 23). In a Facebook update posted yesterday (October 25), Dum Dum Girls announced that they were dropping off the tour.

The message reads: "Sad to announce we must cancel the remainder of our shows with the Vaselines, as well as our own. [Frontwoman] Dee Dee needs to go home to be with her family. Sometimes life is fucked up."

This means a total of 11 cancelled shows, including two Canadian dates in Toronto and Montreal. In addition to the Vaselines opening slots, the band were due to play one night with Frankie Rose and the Outs, plus a handful of headlining gigs. See the axed dates below.
