Drake has revealed some new details about his upcoming album, saying that it will be shorter and more to the point than 2018's Scorpion.

Drizzy was interviewed courtside at the Toronto Raptors game last night (February 23), and the Canadian rap hero confirmed he was hard at work on the next album.

"Honestly, I'm out here, I'm working hard, you know. I'm tucked away trying to finish an album," Drake said.

He continued, "So last album, I went high volume. It did two sides, it was like 20-something songs, which is a lot of songs. This album, I'll probably make it a more realistic offering, something more concise."

Drake also said that he was currently inspired by the Notorious B.I.G.'s "ratio of songs versus just important songs" and has set himself a challenge to make an album free of too much filler.

"It can be 10, 11 songs, 16," he added. "I also do a lot of different types of music so it's tough to make it like a seven-song album or something like that. But yeah, I'm having a lot of fun right now making music."

The Toronto rapper hasn't revealed any firm details about when his new album will arrive or who might feature on it, though he has recently released a pair of tracks with Future and teased a collaboration with DJ Khaled.
