After teasing us with a one-minute-long snippet of music yesterday (February 3), alt-metal mainstays Deftones have now revealed that song in full. Titled "Prayers / Triangles," the band's first single from Gore is streaming now.
The track was premiered through Zane Lowe's Beat 1 program, following a quick chat between the DJ and Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno about the weight of fan expectation.
As we'd heard yesterday, the song features plenty of fuzz-dusted but dreamy guitar passages. Moreno uses his familiar and inviting croon for much of the piece, though a few more percussive moments have him getting raspier behind the mic.
Moreno described the song as a "good representation of where we're at right now." You can hear the track and the interview down below.
Gore sees releases April 8 through Warner Bros. Records.
