Saskatoon alt-country indie rockers the Deep Dark Woods are planning to release their new album The Place I Left Behind, their first album for Six Shooter Records, on August 2. Before they do, however, we've arranged an exclusive stream of the whole thing which can be heard below.
According to the press release, "A rainstorm over the desert of modern music, The Place I Left Behind offers murder ballads alongside scrappy rockers, lovesick hymnals and slow-dance waltzes," adding that "The album illuminates folk traditions without stripping the shadows of roots music history."
