Montreal power-pop unit Dany Laj and the Looks drop their latest LP Alive & Kicking next week, but Exclaim! is giving you the chance to hear the whole thing right now.
The album was recorded in the band's hometown this past summer, with frontman Laj helming the production. It marks the follow-up to 2015's Word on the Street, and carries on the group's streak of churning out toe-tapping tunes packed with catchy hooks and infectious energy.
"Making this record was kind of like playing bubble hockey," Laj tells Exclaim! "I hit a lot of goal posts, had a lot of drinks, there was lots of loud music and friends cheering me on; but most importantly, I had fun and came out of it satisfied. I promise this record is worth every loonie."
