Joe "Shithead" Keithley of Canadian hardcore royalty D.O.A. has announced plans for a solo acoustic record called STAND. It's out March 31 on Sudden Death Records.

Today, he shares its lead single "Fentanyl Blues," about the ongoing opioid epidemic affecting his home province of BC and the entire country.

"I was compelled to write this song as an outlet for the tragedy and grief the opioid crisis has caused," he shared in a release. "It's even sadder, if that's possible, when you realize that it grew because of corporate greed."

Check out the song's accompanying music video below, where you can also find the album's tracklisting.

Last summer, Keithley announced his reelection campaign city for councillor in the Vancouver suburb of Burnaby. He was re-elected in the October 2022 municipal election.
