A little over three years removed from releasing their Die Knowing LP, Winnipeg hardcore crew Comeback Kid are gearing up to deliver a new LP.
While details surrounding the album will see the light of day in the coming weeks, the band have announced that the disc will see release through New Damage Records in Canada and Nuclear Blast in the rest of the world.
UPDATE (6/14, 11:20 a.m. EDT): The album has now been revealed to be called Outsider, which will arrive September 8.
Comeback Kid have also shared a new track from the record titled "Absolute," which finds Canadian metal icon Devin Townsend picking up the mic alongside frontman Andrew Neufeld. You can take in the crushing track in the player below.
"I've worked with Devin Townsend on another project before, so to have him sing on 'Absolute' was awesome for us," Neufeld said in a press release. "I was conjuring up his vocal style anyways when laying down the guide vocals before we knew he was on board for the song. When we asked him to be a part of it, he was open and willing, so we thank him for that. He definitely put his unique stamp on it."
Neufeld continued to say that the band's new album "is going to be the most diverse and interesting record yet in my opinion," adding that "there are a few collaborations and we stepped outside of our comfort zone a lot on this one."
