Calexico Announce North American Tour with the Dodos

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 25, 2012

As previously reported, long-running Americana admirers Calexico will be delivering their latest full-length effort Algiers, their first for Anti- Records, this fall. As can be expected with a new release just around the corner, the Tucson, AZ combo have announced they'll be taking those new tunes out on the road.

While we already knew that Calexico were hitting up Montreal this summer as part of the Osheaga festival, the band will be back in Canada during their headlining tour in October. The bulk of the trip keeps the act in the U.S., but they'll head up north once for a gig at Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on October 20.

Calexico won't be the only notable outfit gracing stages on the tour, however, as always-evolving San Francisco pop rock troupe the Dodos will handle the supporting slot. You can check out the full schedule below.

Algiers arrives September 11, and you can check out the spooky home-video clip for dust-blown country number "Para" at the bottom of the page.
