Always game for collaboration, Bonnie "Prince" Billy has teamed up with the National's Bryce Dessner and modern classical unit Eighth Blackbird for a new album. The collaborative effort is called When We Are Inhuman, and it will arrive on August 30 via 37d03d.

The album comes in the wake of Will Oldham's performance at Dessner's MusicNOW Festival in Cincinnati, with Eighth Blackbird and Dessner crafting new arrangements of various songs from Oldham's vast back catalog. There's also a live performance of Julius Eastman's "Stay on It," as well as movements from Dessner's classical series Murder Ballades.

To get an idea of what to expect, you can hear the new version of "Beast for Thee," which was originally found on Oldham's 2005 album with Matt Sweeney, Superwolf. As you'll hear, the newly shared version stands in stark contrast to the original.

Hear both versions of "Beast for Thee" below.
