Bonde Do Role Reveal New Singers

As a rule, a lead singer’s departure marks the end to a band’s career. However, in Bonde do Role’s case, the exit of their vocalist Marina Ribatski last year has had quite the opposite effect. Today the Brazilian band announced the addition of two new members: singers Ana Bernardino and Laura Taylor, making the trio-turned-duo into a four-piece.

With the help of MTV Brazil, Bonde do Role’s Rodrigo Gorky and Pedro D’Eyrot recruited the new additions through their own "reality TV show,” where, according to the band’s label, Domino, over 100 Bonde wannabes were screened over "an intensive course of Karaoke competitions, mud wrestlings, crashing in Gorky’s garage for a week and performing for live audiences.”

This announcement, which has already been confirmed by the increasingly quick "fact checker” at Wikipedia, comes as the group prepare to embark on their 2008 tour. Here are the dates:
