blink-182's "I Miss You" might be the greatest song ever, according to the Weekend, but it's become something of a meme thanks to Tom DeLonge's absolutely unhinged vocal performance in the second verse — which has been the subject of a notable stand-up bit by Whitmer Thomas, as well as the butt of a Nathan Fielder gag. Last night at Coachella (April 23), DeLonge himself got in on the joke by making fun of his "voice of an angel."

After making a surprise appearance on the first weekend, blink-182 headlined the second weekend of Coachella as Frank Ocean's replacement when the R&B singer dropped out. During the breakdown of "All the Small Things," DeLonge took his microphone off its stand and led the crowd in a little singing lesson.

"So a lot of you people didn't grow up singing and playing in a band like us," DeLonge told the audience. "And you think you can do what we do, but to have the true voice of an angel, I'm going to teach you how to do it — how to sing like me. Repeat after me, alright?"

He then gave a particularly gnarly, punkish "All the," but instead of finishing the phrase with "Small Things," he howled, "Where are yewww?" Naturally, the crowd instantly got the joke and yelled along. DeLonge told them, "That was pretty good. Now that you know, it's going to get you laid tonight." I guess he would know!

blink-182 also got in on the joke with their merch: photos of their T-shirts reveal that they were selling shirts with the phrase "where are you and I'm so sorry" on them, although they don't currently seem to be available through their online store.
