The wonderful sounds of Badge Époque Ensemble rained down on listeners last month with Clouds of Joy, and the group have now announced plans to treat the collection to a remix album.
BÉE's reign continues with Clouds of Joy: Chance of Reign, a new remix effort alongside fellow Torontonians and Exclaim! New Faves Lammping arriving November 18 via Telephone Explosion.
Featuring verses from Boldy James, O.C., Roshin and Theo3, Chance of Reign features newly imagined flips of all nine songs from Clouds of Joy.
The first to arrive is "Naturally Conspiring," which finds chops of BÉE's "Conspiring with Nature" swung to make a perfect pocket for Boldy James and Roshin. Arriving in a year that's already seen the former work with Montreal singer-songwriter Ev Bird and producer Nicholas Craven, "Naturally Conspiring" should solidify Boldy as an honorary Canadian by now.
