Die-hard Hamilton Tiger-Cats fans B.A. Johnston has surprise-released a new album in which he makes his CFL allegiance abundantly clear. Argos Suck is out now.
A statement from Johnston to Exclaim! confirms that he recorded the album with Mathias Kom and Jake Nicholl, both of the Burning Hell, in St. John's, NL. Sessions took place in February 2022. Song titles include "Super Mario and Me," "Value Village Die," "Knee Deep in Charcuterie" and "I Saw Her at the Swiss Chalet."

The album was recorded in Feb of 2022, by the team of Mathias Kom and Jake Nicholl in St John's NL above an Afghan restaurant. With the amount of time BA spent trapped in his Moms Airbnb in Stayner ONT, there was a ton of songs that needed to see the light of day or at the very least make BA enough money to pay his Mom half a months rent. This song features songs about cheese, the cfl and manages to mention IHOP twice even though BA hates IHOP. The album features Newfoundlands finest musicians who were willing to come down and play for 75$ and free India beer. Out again on Transistor 66 records.
