Artists and Labels Team Up with Bandcamp to Support Trans Rights

All of Bandcamp's proceeds from August 4 will be donated to the Transgender Law Center

Earlier this year, Bandcamp fought back against U.S. President Donald Trump's travel ban with a fundraiser for the American Civil Liberties Union, and now the music-sharing platform is standing up for trans rights with another money-raising campaign.

To combat Trump's recent decision to ban transgender people from serving in the military and show support for trans rights, Bandcamp will donate all proceeds raised tomorrow (August 4) to the Transgender Law Center.

In addition to Bandcamp donating 100 percent of its share of every sale, a number of artists and labels have agreed to join the campaign and make additional donations. ANTI-, Father/Daughter Records, Hyperdub, Kill Rock Stars, Merge, Polyvinyl, Sub Pop and Wichita Recordings are just a few of the names participating.

There are also a handful of offers and special releases to entice buyers to shell out for a good cause, including an exclusive demo from Car Seat Headrest and a new song by Grouper (courtesy of Kranky).

UPDATE (8/4, 10:30 a.m. EDT): Listen to and purchase the exclusive tracks from Car Seat Headrest and Grouper below.
