Anti-Flag Reveal 'Cease Fires' Comp

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 18, 2015

The first part of the year found political Pittsburgh punk vets Anti-Flag issuing their new American Spring album, but the back end of 2015 will have them focusing on some slightly more vintage material. A compilation called Cease Fires is due December 18 through the band's own A-F Records.

Being pressed as a picture disc LP, the comp comprises material first found on Anti-Flag's "20 Years of Hell" 7-inch subscription service from 2013. Those vinyl singles featured re-recorded versions of classic Anti-Flag songs on the A-side, while the B-sides housed new tracks from bands on the A-F Records roster.

The forthcoming Cease Fires collects the Anti-Flag material, marking the first time the songs have been available outside the subscription series. The collection also adds the previously unreleased bonus cuts "Coward in My Veins" and "The New Jim Crow."

Cease Fires is currently up for pre-order, with anyone that picks up a copy now instantly entered into a contest that could yield you a signed ESP guitar that was used in Anti-Flag's "Brandenburg Gate" video, as well as remaining 7-inches from the "20 Years of Hell" series. You can find out more over here.
