Step aside, Tool. The flute-obsessed André 3000 has surpassed the alternative metal band for the longest Hot 100 hit of all time.

As reported by Billboard, 3000's track "I swear, I Really Wanted to Make a 'Rap' Album but This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time" (the first song on his new instrumental album New Blue Sun) popped up at No. 90 on the Hot 100 this week.

Clocking in at 12 minutes and 20 seconds, it beats out Tool's "Fear Inoculum" (which debuted back in 2019 at No. 93) by a solid two minutes, breaking a new record.

While André 3000 and Tool are now holding down the fort with the first and second longest songs to appear on the Hot 100, respectively, the third spot is held by Taylor Swift"All Too Well (Taylor's Version)" debuted at No. 1 when it dropped in 2021, and at 10 minutes and 13 seconds, it holds the distinction of being the longest No. 1 hit.
