Algiers have joined forces with Backxwash and Billy Woods on a new single. "Bite Back" arrives alongside a music video directed by Murat Gökmen that you can watch below.

The six-minute "Bite Back" finds Algiers' frontperson Franklin James Fisher trading verses with the pair of inimitable MCs.

In Gökmen's video, Woods appears as his usually pixelated self rapping from what looks like a body bag, while Backxwash arrives corpsepainted to the nines as a projection accompaniment to some urgent choreography befitting of her verse.

Algiers multi-instrumentalist/producer Ryan Mahan shares of the band's latest, "Shit's been so real the past few years, we really needed to grow our community of collaborators and make solid the bonds we've always felt, particularly with rap heads. And to have the two best rappers around, billy woods AND Backxwash, on the same Algiers-produced track? Pinch me, for real."

Backxwash adds, "This feels like the soundtrack to revolutionary struggle. I am honored to participate side by side with an incredible array of artistry."

"Bite Back" marks the first new material from Algiers since 2020 full-length There Is No Year. That same year, the band also appeared on an EP from Massive Attack.

Next month, Billy Woods will bring his latest solo album Aethiopes to Toronto and Montreal on a fall North American tour
