There are tons of exciting festivals gearing up to entertain masses of Canadian music fans this summer, and two Alberta events have just detailed their own action plans. Calgary's X-Fest and Edmonton's Sonic Boom will carry on their tradition of matching lineups across the two cities, and this year's artists have just been unveiled.
Both festivals will boast sets from Twenty One Pilots, the Lumineers, Halsey, Vance Joy, Arkells, July Talk, AWOLNATION, Jake Bugg, Wintersleep, Banners, Atlas Genius, Zella Day, Modern Space, Darcys, the Royal Foundry, Syd Arthur and more to still be announced.
Sonic Boom will run on September 3 and 4 at Borden Park in Edmonton, while X-Fest is slated to take over Calgary's Fort Calgary the same weekend. Tickets for each separate event go on sale June 10, with general admission weekend passes going for $179.50 and VIP passes going for $229.50.
