After announcing their headlining slot at Montreal's Pouzza Fest earlier this year, Against Me! have now revealed plans to play Toronto on a North American tour this October.
Dubbed the "2 Nights / 4 Records / 48 Songs" tour, the band will play four of their full-length studio albums over back-to-back nights in Toronto, Los Angeles, Boston, Baltimore and Sayreville, NJ.
UPDATE (5/16, 10 a.m. EST): The pre-sale for the Toronto shows has begun! The password is "thrashunreal." Get tickets for the shows on October 15 here and October 16 here.
On the fall run of shows, Against Me! will perform Searching for a Former Clarity, New Wave, White Crosses and Transgender Dysphoria Blues in their entirety, with the band doing two albums each night.
Support for the band's two Toronto dates will come from Dilly Dally and Flatliners frontman Chris Cresswell, while additional dates will feature Chuck Ragan, Toy Guitar and Cursive.
Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace offered the following on the tour in a statement:
While working on new music this year — before we move forward into the future — we thought it would be fun to revisit the past, the albums that got us to where we are now. Like chapters in a book, there's a narrative that flows through these four albums that we've never had the chance before to present in this context, as one complete story. I'm excited to share the songs as a whole in this way. This is probably the closest I will ever come to being a part of a 'Rock Opera' of any sorts.
