Against Me!'s "True Trans Soul Rebel" was already released on 2014's Transgender Dysphoria Blues, and with the song set to appear on next month's 23 Live Sex Acts concert LP, the live version has now gotten a video.
While the audio recording of this theatrical punk anthem is live, the video doesn't feature any concert footage. Rather, it consists of grainy, scratchy-looking black and white animations that are in keeping with the visual aesthetic of Transgender Dysphoria Blues and 23 Live Sex Acts. We see some barely-discernible mouths singing along while a few scattered lyrics pop up on the screen along with visual abstractions and images that look like medical diagrams.
