A Perfect Circle to Tour in 2017 and Reportedly Complete New Music

Having remained silent since releasing a best-of collection and live box set in 2013, it appears A Perfect Circle have big plans in store for the coming year.

Blabbermouth reports that a Los Angeles stop on vocalist Maynard James Keenan's book tour for his memoir, A Perfect Union of Contrary Things, was moderated by APC band leader and guitarist Billy Howerdel. Keenan's bandmate revealed that the project will tour in the new year, with Keenan adding that a show on May 7 at the Hollywood Bowl has been confirmed.

UPDATE (12/12, 10:18 a.m. EST): Posting the Facebook today, the band announced they will return this spring for their first North American tour in six years, adding that more dates will be announced soon.

A Perfect Circle reunited in 2010 and toured a number of times through until 2013. As far as new music goes, a new track titled "By and Down" appeared as part of the hits collection Three Sixty. The band's last release was a collection of anti-war covers titled eMOTIVe in 2004, with proper LP Thirteenth Step arriving in 2003.

Howerdel told AlternativeNation in 2013 that he had "75 percent of the foundation of [the next] A Perfect Circle record ready to go," saying that he thought "all will change once Maynard gets involved and he has more time to focus on it."

If another fanbase of Keenan's has anything to say about it, the wait could still be a while
