It's been a while since we've heard from Vancouver's ultimate new wave of British heavy metal upstarts 3 Inches of Blood. At that, anytime we have, it always seems to be horrible news like death or destruction.
In a delightful twist, however, the searing hot metallions have just announced that they will be heading out on the road in the new year.
Hitting a (metric) ton of North American cities with the likes of folk metal junkies Eluveitie, thrash act Holy Grail and melodic death metal goons System Divide as openers, the stint is in continued support of 3 Inches of Blood's latest effort Here Waits Thy Doom (issued in 2009 on Century Media).
On the trek, there are several Canadian dates, including stops in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Quebec City. The rest of the shows are south of the border.
Keep your fingers crossed that nobody in the 3IOB camp punches someone out or gets arrested for public nudity before the end of January.
