Just shy of a decade after disbanding, Vancouver metal maestros 3 Inches of Blood have announced a "full circle return," beginning with a hometown performance in early 2024.

"After nearly a decade, 3 Inches of Blood are returning for a concert in their hometown of Vancouver, Canada, on January 13, 2024," the band shared on social media, noting that the return "will begin in the same place it ended, at the legendary Commodore Ballroom on Granville Street."

Tickets for the performance, which will feature support from Portland's Unto Others (f.k.a. Idle Hands), go on sale to the public September 15 at 10 a.m. PT, following a presale beginning September 12 at 10 a.m. PT. The band note that a presale code will soon be available via their Instagram and Facebook pages.

News of the 2024 performance follows a tease from 3 Inches of Blood shared last Tuesday (September 5), featuring a silhouette of the band and the year "2024."

3 Inches of Blood made their debut in 2002 with Battlecry Under a Wintersun, and in the decade that followed, released four more studio albums with Roadrunner Records and Century Media. The band's last album was 2012's Long Live Heavy Metal.

Announcing their disbandment in the summer of 2015, 3 Inches of Blood shared at the time, "Naturally, people will have questions as to why we have collectively made this decision. While our reasons are personal, just know we are all still good friends, but it is just time to move on."
