TIFF has announced that Elliot Page will join its In Conversation With… series on June 16 at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto.

The actor and trans advocate will launch his memoir Pageboy and discuss his personal journey, his role in the Toronto-filmed series The Umbrella Academy and finding his place behind the camera through his company Pageboy Productions.

The conversation will be moderated by filmmaker Chase Joynt, known for telling trans stories through his documentary features No Ordinary Man and Framing Agnes.

Glad Day Bookshop has partnered with the event alongside Trans Film Mentorship and Inside Out Toronto to donate 10 percent of book sale proceeds from the event towards trans artists in Toronto.

If you can't make it in person, TIFF has partnered with organizations across the country to stream the event. Confirmed partners include the Vancouver Public Library, Calgary Wordfest, THIN AIR Winnipeg and King's Co-Op Bookstore in Halifax.

Tickets for the in-person event go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on May 17 through the TIFF website to TIFF members ahead of a general sale that begins on May 19. Along with an assigned seat, ticketholders will receive a signed copy of Pageboy
