​Someone Compared All the Cats in 'Cats' to Medieval Paintings and It's as Terrifying as the Film Itself

If you haven't heard yet, Cats is just as insane and terrifying as the trailer made it look, but that hasn't stopped people on the internet from still talking about it. In fact, one Twitter person went so far as to share an entire thread of the cast of Cats as medieval paintings.
 
@EmmaTolkin has hilariously rounded up horrifying medieval paintings of cats and matched them to each of the feline stars of the film.
 
As she astutely points out, the producers of Cats and medieval painters are intrinsically linked to each other by their lack of knowledge of what cats actually look like.
 
After the thread went viral, Tolkin explained that she is a medievalist. She even apologized for including two Botero paintings in the thread, but defended her choice by saying, "BUT LIKE, C'MON THEY SO SILLY."
