The 'Saved by the Bell' Cast Reunited (Without Screech)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Apr 22, 2019

We've watched the kids from Saved by the Bell go from middle school to high school to The College Years on TV, and over the weekend, some of the core castmates reunited and gave us a taste of their grown-up life — though Screech was nowhere to be seen.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar (a.k.a. Zack Morris), Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater), Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski) and Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano) shared photos on Instagram yesterday (April 21) of a group dinner date with their significant others.

Thiessen captioned one of the shots with "Friends forever," and Gosselaar shared the same photo, opting to caption it with "This is what 30+ years of friendship looks like."

In a video, Lopez admitted, "We ate an obscene amount of food," and then explained that the table was going to play "credit card roulette" to decide who had to pick up the tab.

Berkley, who shared the same photo as her former co-stars, replied to a comment asking if anyone had reached out to Lark Voorhies (who played Lisa Turtle on Saved by the Bell). She replied, "We [heart emoji] her!"

Voorhies previously reunited with some of the show's other actors earlier this year at a recreation of Max's Diner.

Dustin Diamond (a.k.a. Screech), however, was nowhere to be seen at the recent reunions. Despite Diamond's 2016 apology to his castmates for his tell-all book, Gosselaar revealed earlier this year that he hadn't spoken to his onscreen bestie in 25 years.
