Paul McCartney's children's book High in the Clouds will be coming to Netflix soon.

The streaming giant has confirmed that it will release the animated film, which has been in the works since 2013.

The upcoming movie will feature original music written, performed and produced by the Beatles singer. Back in 2015, McCartney revealed that he had written seven or eight new songs for the project, including one featuring Lady Gaga — though, it's unclear if these same songs are still in the mix.

Timothy Reckhart is directing, while Jon Croker is writing the screenplay.

McCartney is producing, as is Bob Shaye, Michael Lynne, Sidonie Dumas, Christophe Riandee, Nicolas Atlan and Terry Kalagian.

A description from a press release describes the plot of the upcoming film as such:

An imaginative teenage squirrel named Wirral finds himself pulled into a ramshackle gang of teenage rebels who live high in the clouds after he accidentally antagonizes Gretsch the owl, the tyrannical leader (and fabulous singer!), who steals the voice of anyone who upstages her.

A release date for the film has not yet been announced.

The book was originally released in 2005, and was co-written by McCartney, Geoff Dunbar and Philip Ardagh.

McCartney released another book just this year; the picture book Hey Grandude! arrived in September.
